Silver Lotus Leaf Earrings
The lotus is one of the eight symbols of Buddhism representing purity of the mind and body, as if it floats above the murky waters of material attachment and physical desire. Growing naturally in ponds, the lotus root’s start deep in the mud, making its way through murky water until it breaks the surface and begins to blossom when it reaches the sunlight. Because of this transformation it also symbolizes enlightenment. In Buddhism, the journey of the lotus is said to mirror our own spiritual journeys.
